Level 3 Education and Training Course in Birmingham. Evening classes run at Longbridge Campus, part-time over 13 weeks. Fees vary depending on your circumstances, so it may be free for some learners and fees may apply for others. This education and training qualification is aimed at adults aged 19 or over who want to teach or train others in the post-16 sector. You'll cover planning and delivering learning sessions, inclusive teaching approaches, and the principles of assessment. Work-based teaching experience is useful but not required to enrol. Pearson Edexcel BTEC Award in Education and Training with certificate.
Who this course is for
The Level 3 award in Education and Training (QCF) is an introductory teaching qualification for those aged 19+. It is designed to give the knowledge and confidence to teach in the post-16 education sector. This could be as a trainer in the private sector or as a teacher/lecturer in further education. It allows progression to the Certificate in Education and Training and/or the Diploma in Education and Training. The course is valuable for people who have some teaching experience, as well as for those who are new to delivering learning. This qualification has no minimum teaching practice requirement, therefore, it may be undertaken by individuals who are not in a teaching role. It is the direct replacement for Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) and is now available at Level 3. Normally run twice per academic year, one starting in October and one starting in March. Please note that a learner loan is NOT available for this course.

How you will learn
Classes are delivered in the classroom at Longbridge Campus on an evening, part-time schedule. Assessment is through written assignments and practical tasks that demonstrate your knowledge of teaching and training practice. There is no minimum teaching practice requirement, so you do not need to be in a teaching role to complete the course.
