The course covers game design, 2D and 3D animation, e-sports, and media communication. You'll work in industry-standard suites with Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk Maya, and Unity on Apple iMacs. Units include audience engagement, specialist study, and an extended final project. The course runs over 37 weeks. You'll need four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, or a Level 2 Vocational Qualification with a merit, plus Level 2 in English and Maths.

You'll finish with an Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology.

Who this course is for

This course has been designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree level study or employment in the game design, E sport and animation sector. You will have the opportunity to explore game design, 2d/3d animation, E-sports and historical/contextual investigation. Your lessons will take place in our industry-standard suites, equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk Maya, Unity on Apple iMacs, as well as giving you access to state-of-the-E sport facilities and more. There will also trips and visits, and guest talks from industry experts

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs Grade 4 and above, Level 2 Vocational Qualification with a merit, level 2 in English and Maths.
