About this course

Free Level 3 Business Course in Southwark. Classes run at Sacred Heart Catholic School, full-time over two years.

The course is a practical qualification that takes you inside how real businesses operate. You'll study local and national businesses, work through business problems, and develop your own strategies and ideas. Units cover marketing, finance, human resources, and business planning. Assessment is spread across the two years, so your progress builds steadily rather than resting on final exams alone. You'll need at least five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English and Maths, to join.

You'll finish with the OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Business.

Who this course is for

The Cambridge Technical Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business course is a practical, hands-on programme for students who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world of Business. You will study real, local and national businesses, solve real business problems and develop business ideas and strategies. The Qualification provides a beneficial alternative to A levels as students are assessed throughout the two years, making managing progress easier than linear A levels where results are only known at the end of two years. The Extended certificate is designed to meet the changing needs of the business sector and to prepare our students for the challenges theyll face in Higher Education or employment. Through deepening their analysis and research skills, students will explore ways in which businesses respond to changes in their economic, social and technological environment; and gain an appreciation of the influence different stakeholders can have upon a business. It's roughly equivalent to 1 A level and is taken over 2 years alongside other level 3 subjects.
