About this course

Free Level 3 Business Course in Doncaster. Classes run at Ridgewood School, full-time over two years.

You'll study five units. These cover the business environment, working in business, customers and communication, marketing and market research, and international business. You'll research real companies to build your understanding. Past examples include Morrisons, Costa, and Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

You'll need GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths at grade 4 or above, plus two other GCSEs at grade 4. The course leads to an OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Business.

Who this course is for

You will study 5 units; The Business Environment, Working in Business, Customers and Communication, Marketing and Market Research and International Business. These units are based on the study of real businesses that you will research, and develop your understanding of. Previous businesses that we have studied include Morrisons, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Costa, Thomas Cook and McDonalds. This is an extremely popular course with a history of outstanding results. You will be expected to undertake further reading and independent study to meet deadlines.

Coursework is assessed by producing a portfolio of work that is assessed internally, and then moderated by a visiting examiner from the examination board.
