Free Level 3 BTEC National in Health and Social Care Course in Tenterden. Classes run at Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre. This full-time, two-year Pearson Edexcel qualification covers the knowledge and skills behind health, care, and social support services. You'll study topics such as human development, anatomy and physiology, health promotion, and working in care settings. To apply, you'll need at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Science. The course starts in Year 12 in September 2026.

This course is open to ambitious and enthusiastic students who will be starting Year 12 in September 2026 and who meet the entry requirements. All applicants must have selected the equivalent of 3 Level 3 courses which must be chosen from different option blocks which can be found on our website.

How you will learn
The BTEC National is assessed through a combination of internally assessed assignments and externally assessed examinations set by Pearson Edexcel. Assignments are completed over the course of each unit and marked by your centre. External assessments test core knowledge under timed conditions. Classroom sessions cover both theory and applied case-study work.
