Free Level 3 BTEC National in Health and Social Care Course in Milton Keynes. Classes run at Walton High. Who this course is for

The Pearson Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification BTEC National in Health and Social Care Extended Certificate allows students to engage in a broad investigation of various aspects of the health and social care sector.

Entry requirements

Our entry requirements are five grades awarded 9–5 at GCSE/L2 merit or above at BTEC/CTEC equivalent including a minimum of GCSE Grades 4 or above in English & Maths. In addition, some subjects require a GCSE Grade 6 or above in specific entry requirements (see pages 12 and 13). For the A level subjects a level 2 BTEC/CTEC Merit counts as an equivalent GCSE Grade 5.

How you will learn

Learning is classroom based, combining taught sessions with independent research and written assignments. The BTEC National is assessed through a combination of internally assessed assignments and externally assessed units set by Pearson Edexcel. There are no traditional written exams for all units; some are assessed through tasks completed under supervised conditions. Your work is marked against set criteria and moderated externally.
