The course is mainly theoretical; it analyses many aspects of sport and is delivered through a variety of methods, within the classroom and by using the PE facilities.

Entry requirements

The qualification builds on the knowledge, understanding and skills developed through L2 BTEC Sport. Pupils need to achieve a MERIT in BTEC Sport L2 and/or Grade 4 in English and/or Science. Pupils with a particular interest in PE and Sport with 5 GCSE passes grade 4 to 9 can also access the course. Pupils following this course are expected to participate in sport and play an integral part in the school Ludus (extra-curricular) programme.
