Who this course is for

In the sport qualification student's will cover 4 units over the 2 years which will gain them a qualification which is worth 1 a-levels. Anatomy and Physiology which includes Skeletal, Muscular, Respiratory, cardiovascular and energy systems and how they play an important role within sport. Fitness training and programming for health and sport and well-being will learn how to use knowledge of fitness testing and training to implement a training program on a given individual. Professional Development in the sport industry - you will learn what careers there are available to you in sport and also what procedures you might face when applying for a job. Application of Fitness testing - Learn how to complete fitness tests correctly and efficiently and how these can impact performance.

Entry requirements

In order to follow a vocational or mixed Level 3 programme of study you should have achieved five or more GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4's or above, including English Language or Literature and mathematics although we will apply some flexibility where you can demonstrate aptitude and enthusiasm for this subject, yet you may not fully match our entry requirements . Those students without a 4 in English or mathematics, will take a level 2 qualification in these as part of their studies.
