About this course

Free Level 3 BTEC National Extended Certificate in Sport Course in London. Classes run at Wimbledon College, full-time during the day.

This Level 3 BTEC sport qualification covers sport science, anatomy and physiology, coaching, fitness training, and sports development. You'll study both the practical and academic sides of sport. The course takes one year to complete. It counts as the equivalent of one A level and sits alongside other Level 3 qualifications well.

You'll finish with a Pearson Edexcel Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Sport.

Who this course is for

If you are intending to pursue health, fitness or sports-related occupations in the future such as recreation management, sports development, coaching, instructing or teaching, this course is for you. It allows you to explore sport both as a performer and academically and gives you the opportunity to study a work related qualification alongside other level 3 courses such as A levels or other BTEC qualifications. The equivalent of 1 A level, it will also give you transferable skills such as teamwork, leadership and resilience that are useful for a variety of careers and higher education courses.

5 GCSE's grades 9-4 (A*-C) including English and Maths. MERIT in BTEC Sport Level 2 or grade 4 in GCSE PE
