About this course

Free Level 3 Autism Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your existing commitments. This free autism course for adults covers how autism is understood and diagnosed, the legislative framework that protects autistic individuals, communication and social interaction support, therapeutic interventions, safeguarding responsibilities, and how to manage transitions. You study through an interactive online platform and the course typically takes 6 months to complete. You'll need to be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you start, eligible to study in the UK, and have access to a computer and a stable internet connection.

Entry requirements

You will need to be:

aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you wish to study be eligible to study in the UK, with 'in-date' evidence that shows that you will be resident in the UK for the duration of the course and not currently studying an apprenticeship programme

How you will learn

You study through an interactive online learning platform, working through written materials at your own pace. Assessment is by an online portfolio of evidence, which includes written tasks and essay-style questions. An assessor is assigned to you, marks your work, and gives written feedback throughout the course.
