Free Level 3 Autism Course. Study online at your own pace, so you can fit learning around your work and home life. The course typically takes 35 weeks to complete. You'll build a solid understanding of autism, including its characteristics, how it is diagnosed, and how thinking about autism has developed over time. You'll also explore the challenges and strengths that autistic people may experience. This free autism course for adults is delivered entirely online, with no need to travel to a centre. You must be aged 19 or over as of 31 August 2025, resident in England, and have lived in the EU for the last three years.
Who this course is for
More than 1 in every 100 people in the UK have an autism diagnosis. The Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism is designed for learners who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of the condition, and the challenges and strengths that autistic people may experience. You will learn about characteristics, diagnosis and how understanding and different theories surrounding autism have developed over time. Within this qualification, the term ‘autism’ is used as an umbrella term for all autistic spectrum conditions, including Asperger syndrome.
