Free Level 3 Art and Design Course in Waltham Forest. Classes run full-time at Leyton Sixth Form College, five days a week during the day. The course takes two years to complete. You'll explore drawing, design, and practical studio work across a range of visual arts disciplines. This University of the Arts London qualification is well regarded by universities and creative employers. You'll need a GCSE in Art at grade 5 or above, or bring a small portfolio to your interview if you haven't studied art at GCSE.

G Score:26, GCSE Art: 5, GCSE Maths and English: 4, A general enthusiasm for the visual arts and a commitment to making practical artwork through lessons and independent practice. Students who have not studied art and design at GCSE can present a small portfolio of their work at interview/ enrolment which will be taken into consideration.

How you will learn
You'll learn through studio-based practical work, individual projects, and independent practice outside class. Assessment is through a portfolio of work you build over the two years, alongside written critical and contextual studies. There are no written exams in the traditional sense. Your portfolio is the main evidence of your skills and creative development.
