Free Level 3 Animal Management Course in Great Yarmouth. Full-time daytime animal management classes run at East Norfolk Sixth Form College. To enrol, you'll need GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English, and grades 5 and 4 in Science. Over 12 months, you'll cover animal biology, welfare and ethics, behaviour, health and disease, and practical husbandry. Specialist units include aquatic animal health, wildlife and conservation management, and human-animal interaction. The course includes a 225-hour work experience placement, which you must complete to gain the qualification.

Who this course is for

The qualification will prepare learners to progress directly to employment, to carry out roles such as animal care workers, wildlife conservation workers, or animal business workers/entrepreneurs. This is achieved through the provision of mandatory units that address cross-sector issues and optional units to enable you to meet local employment needs.

Within the units there are opportunities during the teaching and learning phase to give learners practice in developing employability skills. Where employability skills are referred to in this specification, we are generally referring to skills in the following three main categories:

Entry requirements

To study this course, you must achieve a 4 in Maths and English, as well as a grade 5 and 4 in Science.
