Free Level 2 Special Educational Needs and Disability Course. Study online, joining live virtual classroom sessions four days a week. The course runs over 12 weeks and fits around your life, with one-to-one tutor support and daily group workshops available alongside the scheduled sessions. Progression includes Level 3 Autism, Mental Health or specialist SEND training.

What you will learn

  • You'll understand a range of SEND conditions and how they affect children and adults in learning and daily life.
  • You'll learn how to create inclusive environments that support people with additional needs.
  • You'll explore strategies for supporting neurodiverse children and young people.
  • You'll develop knowledge of how SEND affects communication, behaviour, and participation.
  • You'll practise applying your learning through case studies, research tasks, and written assignments.

How you will learn

The course is delivered online via Microsoft Teams. You'll attend live sessions from 11:00am to 12:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Assessment is through assignments completed using a range of methods: videos, independent research, group work, case studies, question and answer activities, report writing, PowerPoint presentations, creating leaflets, and witness statements. Your tutor gives feedback on every question and assignment. One-to-one support is available when needed, and you can join daily group workshops for extra help.
