Free Level 2 Site Carpentry Course in Gateshead. Full-time daytime classes run at Gateshead College Skills Academy for Construction. You'll build on Level 1 carpentry skills and gain the underpinning knowledge needed to work in commercial construction. The course takes one year and includes a work experience placement where you get hands-on exposure to real construction site conditions. You'll cover health and safety, portable power tools, and a range of site carpentry techniques. This City and Guilds site carpentry qualification is a step toward the Level 3 NVQ that carpenters need for a CSCS skilled-worker card.
