Free Level 2 Site Carpentry Course in Great Yarmouth. Classes run at East Coast College Great Yarmouth Campus. This is a full-time daytime course, so you'll cover the ground quickly. You'll build practical carpentry skills across around 600 hours of study, working toward the City and Guilds Level 2 site carpentry qualification. The course covers the core skills carpenters use on site every day, from setting out and first fixing to second fixing and safe working practices.
Who this course is for
Site Carpentry L2 Dip E&T (CARPFL2C00 25/26GA) is based in the Carpentry department and is designed to help you develop skills in this area. We have chosen CG as the exam board for this course.

Entry requirements available on request.
What you will learn
You'll develop first fixing skills, including installing floor joists, stud walls, and door linings.
You'll practise second fixing techniques such as fitting skirting boards, architraves, and doors.
You'll learn to set out and use carpentry hand tools and power tools safely.
You'll apply health and safety requirements relevant to carpentry on site.
You'll read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
You'll work with timber and timber-based products, understanding their properties and uses.
How you will learn
You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in the workshop alongside classroom-based teaching.
