Free Level 2 Professional Cookery Course in Grays. Classes run at South Essex College of Further and Higher Education. You'll need a Level 1 qualification or two GCSEs at grade 3/D or above in maths and English, plus a successful interview, to get started. Over 12 months of full-time daytime study, you'll cover food safety, health and safety, nutrition, menu planning, and preparing and cooking a wide range of hot and cold dishes.
Who this course is for
This course will suit you if you already have some basic skills and experience as a chef, probably from a role where you work under supervision or where you have already undertaken a level 1 course. If you want to gain a formal qualification and increase your skills so that you can take on a more senior role, this course will given you the skills, knowledge and an industry-standard qualification.
