Free Level 2 Painting and Decorating Course in Birmingham. Evening painting and decorating classes run at South & City College Birmingham Bordesley Green Campus, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. You'll need to have completed a Level 1 Diploma in Painting and Decorating, or be able to demonstrate relevant site experience. Over one year, you'll develop skills in specialist finishes, wallpapering, broken colour effects, textured finishes, and spray painting.
Who this course is for
Whether you are a recent school-leaver or an adult, this course will give you intermediate skills as a painter and decorator. Our fully equipped painting and decorating workshops provide the perfect setting for your development, and our tutors will use their wealth of industry experience to help you become competent in this trade. Throughout the course you will also have the opportunity to showcase your skills at a number of events, including the Skill Build competition, and benefit from a possible apprenticeship through the fantastic links we have with local employers. You will also have the opportunity to work on college projects with external companies through our dedicated renovations team.
Entry requirements
You�ll need to have completed the Diploma in Painting & Decorating Level 1 or to have some relevant site experience which would need to be demonstrated to the tutor.
