Free Level 2 Military Service Course in Southampton. Classes run at MPC Southampton, daytime and on a flexible schedule. There are no entry requirements. You'll complete a medical questionnaire when you join. The course runs over one year and focuses on gaining employment in the Armed Forces. It covers the knowledge, fitness, and skills needed to apply successfully for a military career. This free military service course is fully funded, so there is no cost to you. Bursaries may also be available to help with equipment costs.

This course enables young people to access an employability study programme course focused on gaining employment into their desired job choice within the Armed Forces.
Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements to this course although there is a medical questionnaire that will be completed on entry.
What you will learn
You'll develop the physical fitness standards expected for Armed Forces entry.
You'll build knowledge of military roles and career pathways within the Armed Forces.
You'll practise the application and selection process for military service.
You'll strengthen teamwork and discipline skills valued in a military environment.
You'll improve your communication and employability skills for the recruitment process.
You'll understand the responsibilities and expectations of serving in the Armed Forces.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at MPC Southampton, with a flexible daytime timetable. Learning is practical and employability-focused, preparing you directly for Armed Forces recruitment. Assessment is built into the programme and tracks your progress toward the Level 2 Award in Preparation for Military Service. You'll also complete a medical questionnaire at the start of the course.
