About this course

Level 2 ICT Systems Support Course in Plymouth. Classes run at Achievement Training Plymouth, two days a week during the day. The course is free for some learners, and fees may apply for others, depending on your age and circumstances.

The course runs for around 10 months and covers the core skills employers look for in IT support roles. You'll study networking principles, equipment maintenance, data security, systems architecture, and customer support. You'll also develop employability skills valued across the tech sector. It is recommended that you have, or are working towards, a grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English.

You'll finish with a City and Guilds Diploma in ICT Systems Support at Level 2.

Who this course is for

They are for candidates who work or want to work in a number of different job roles such as Database Administrators, IT Product Developers, Telecommunications Technicians in the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) sector. The Level 2 programmes allow candidates, who are not in employment, to progress into employment or level 3 ICT qualifications

Entry requirements

It is recommended that learners have, or are working towards, a grade 4/grade C or above in maths and English GCSEs.
