Free Level 2 Hairdressing Course in Halesworth. Classes run at Suffolk New College on the Coast Halesworth, full-time during the day. You'll train in professionally run commercial salons, working on real clients to develop your skills in women's and men's hairdressing. The course runs for one year and includes a trade show trip, work placement, and a creative hair show. You can also gain experience outside college through industry events. This level 2 hairdressing qualification is awarded by VTCT.
Who this course is for
On this study programme, you will be taught in a real working environment, learning in The Zone’s professionally run commercial salons, where you will implement services to develop your skills in women’s and men’s hairdressing. You can learn outside the College as well, gaining inspiration and knowledge from going on annual trade show trip, work placement and show your own innovation and skill by participating in our dynamic Annual Creative Hair Show.
Entry requirements
Three GCSEs at Grade 3 including maths and English Language, or a Level 1 qualification plus maths and English Language at Level 1.

How you will learn
You'll learn through hands-on practice in commercial salon settings, working on clients under supervision. Assessment combines practical observations, written assignments, and portfolio evidence of the services you carry out. You'll also take part in a work placement and a creative hair show, both of which form part of your overall programme.
