This qualification is recognised by the UK’s lead hairdressing professional association and will prepare you for a career as a hairdresser/stylist.

Entry requirements

For this course you will need to have achieved following:

· 4 GCSE’s grade 3 or above where possible to include English & Maths · Hairdressing or skills test/interview outcome

On receipt of your application to study this course you will be invited to attend an admissions interview with a member of the teaching team to discuss the course and its requirements further.

How you will learn

Most of your learning takes place in the college's own salon. You'll carry out practical assessments on paying clients, working to commercial timings. Theory is covered alongside practical work in the classroom. You'll also be assessed on your knowledge through written or online tests. The college recommends voluntary work experience in an external salon to support your development.
