Free Level 2 Hairdressing Course in Birkenhead. Classes run at Wirral Met College Conway Park Campus, daytime, over one year. You'll spend most of your time in the college's training salons, working on models and real clients to build practical skills in ladies hairdressing. To enrol, you'll need four GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above, including Maths or English at Grade 3/D (or Functional Skills Level 1). Who this course is for
If you want to gain employment in this exciting industry this course will provide you with basic skills in ladies hairdressing. You will spend most of your week in our hairdressing salons working on models and clients and on completion you may be able to progress to Level 3 Hairdressing.

Assessment combines practical observations, where an assessor watches you carry out hairdressing services, with written or online knowledge tests. You'll build a portfolio of evidence as you progress through the course.
