About this course

Level 2 Floristry Course in Weymouth. Classes run full-time at Weymouth College, Monday to Friday during the day. The course is free if you are 16 to 18 years old. If you are 19 to 25, you may be eligible for government funding or a student loan depending on your circumstances. This level 2 floristry qualification covers commercial designs, wedding and funeral work, flower and plant care, and a work placement with a retail florist. You will also build your English and maths alongside the floristry classes. The course runs for one year.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs minimum grade 3. including English and maths. Mature students lacking formal qualifications will be considered based on previous experience. You will be required to complete a work placement. Previous floristry experience is not required however a flair for colour and an interest in flowers and plants is required. Tetanus protection is recommended.
