Free Level 2 Floristry Course in Ipswich. Classes run at Suffolk New College Suffolk Rural, part-time during the day, one day a week over a year. The course is open to beginners and those who already hold a Level 1 Floristry qualification. No GCSEs are required. You'll develop practical floristry skills, from working with seasonal flowers to creating arrangements for a range of occasions. This free floristry course for adults covers both the creative and technical sides of the craft. You'll finish with a City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Floristry.

Open to Beginners or those with a L1 qualification in Floristry. No GCSE Requirements. Ages 19+
What you will learn
You'll design and create floral arrangements for different occasions and settings.
You'll work with a range of flowers, foliage, and sundry materials.
You'll learn how to condition and care for cut flowers to extend their life.
You'll develop hand-tied bouquet and wired work techniques.
You'll understand colour, texture, and proportion in floral design.
You'll learn how to work safely and hygienically in a floristry environment.
You'll explore seasonal and sustainable approaches to floristry.
How you will learn
You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in the classroom, working directly with flowers and materials. Assessment is through a combination of practical tasks and assignments that demonstrate your skills and knowledge. You'll build a portfolio of work over the course of the year, showing what you can design and create.
