Free Level 2 ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening course in Scarborough. Classes run at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, part-time during the day. This is an english for speakers of other languages course, designed for adults whose first language is not English. Over 22 weeks, you'll develop your spoken English, listening skills, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation for everyday life and work. This course is for anyone aged 19 or over, whose first language is not English. You will need to provide ID such as a passport, a National Insurance number and we will need to ask you about your residency in the UK.

How you will learn
Classes are classroom based, with speaking and listening activities, group discussions, and tutor-led practice. Assessment is through observed spoken tasks and listening activities. Your tutor will assess your performance directly during class exercises. There is no written exam for this Award; assessment focuses entirely on your speaking and listening skills in English.

The centre will provide most materials. Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service will confirm anything else you need before you start. You will need to bring valid ID such as a passport and your National Insurance number when you enrol.
