Free Level 2 Electrical Installation Course in Manchester. Classes run full-time at The Manchester College Openshaw Campus, five days a week during the day. The course takes one year to complete. You'll build the occupational skills needed to work in the building services industry, covering electrical installation theory and practical techniques. A 315-hour work placement is part of the programme, giving you hands-on experience alongside your classroom learning. This level 2 electrical installation qualification is a strong foundation for progressing to a Level 3 T Level or an apprenticeship route toward becoming a competent electrician.

Who this course is for

If you’re 16-19 years old and you want to work as an electrician in the building services industry then this course is for you.

Designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills, this course will provide you with the platform from which to progress through further into a Level 3 T Level or alternatively help you take a step towards being a competent electrician.

You’ll be required to complete a 315 hour work placement as part of your study programme while you gain an understanding of the skills required within the electrotechnical sector by studying units such as scientific principles, installation of wiring systems and enclosures, and electrical installations technology.

Through this course you’ll work with local employers who will contribute to the knowledge and delivery of training and provide demonstrations and talks on the industry.
