You could also progress to further learning and training in this area, to be a Dog Groomer and onto the Level 3 Dog Grooming course. This is a City & Guilds accredited course.

Entry requirements

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis. No formal qualifications needed but you must be 19+ and be competent at working at this level. Applicants should also be prepared to attend all lessons.

How you will learn

You'll learn through hands-on practical sessions in a dog grooming salon environment, working with real dogs across a variety of breeds and coat types. Assessment is through practical assessments, a portfolio of work, and a final externally led examination. Classes run one day per week.
