About this course

Free Level 2 Dementia Care Course. Study online. This self-paced course lets you study independently, with assessor support available when you need it. Over 24 weeks, you'll build a thorough understanding of dementia, its effects, and how to provide person-centred care. The course suits anyone working with or supporting people living with dementia who needs flexibility to fit study around other commitments. You'll need a laptop to complete the work, and you must be aged 19 or over at the start of the academic year.

Who this course is for

Study this course FREE, with no course fees! This is a fully online, self-directed, independent study course with assessor support and guidance. Students must have use of a laptop to complete this course and must be aged 19+ at the beginning of the academic year (31 August). This 24-week course has a flexible start date and will run until 31 July 2024. If you work with people with dementia, it’s important that you understand the condition and know how to provide the best possible care for each individual. Understanding dementia and the person-centred care that is required is fundamental to high-quality care. Eligibility Criteria – this course is FREE if you: are aged 19+, live in England, not within a non-funded postcode region, have been in the EU for three years for purposes other than study (and able to provide documentation), are not currently enrolled on an apprenticeship, have not completed any part of the course before, .
