This course will give you the skills needed to work towards becoming a counsellor, increasing your understanding of the process and teaching you about the sensitivity and awareness needed for change and growth. You will learn about the ethics within the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy's (BCAP) Ethical Framework for Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as the major approaches to counselling and their philosophical and practical assumptions about the nature of humans.

You do not need to have any previous qualifications.All applicants must have an assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them. If you are receiving Mental Health support through an agency then this must be completed before entry onto the course.
