Level 2 Counselling Course in Hastings. Classes run at East Sussex College Hastings Station Plaza Campus, part-time during the day over 17 weeks. You must have completed the Level 1 Interpersonal Skills Award before applying, and entry is open to those aged 19 or over at the start of the academic year. The course explores how counselling skills apply across different settings, with the Person Centred Approach at its core. You'll also develop your own self-awareness alongside your practical skills.

This course will help you to explore the application of counselling skills in a range of different settings. Underpinning your learning will be the Person Centred Approach to counselling which offers you a challenging and exciting opportunity to engage in counselling and explore self development. All applicants need to have completed the Level 1 Interpersonal Skills Award. Please note, entry is only open to those aged 19 or over at the start of the academic year.

How you will learn
Learning takes place in the classroom through a mix of discussion, skills practice, and reflective activities. The Person Centred Approach runs through all sessions. Assessment for the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills includes written assignments and reflective work that you complete alongside your classes. You'll need an A4 ring binder to organise your coursework.
