Free Level 2 Construction and the Built Environment Course in Peterborough. Classes run at Peterborough College, full-time during the day, over 36 weeks. You'll cover both the practical and theoretical sides of construction, exploring areas such as carpentry and joinery, brickwork, architectural design, surveying, and town planning. To join, you'll need four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English at grade 4 or above and maths and science at grade 3 or above. Alternatively, a Level 1 Basic Construction Skills qualification is accepted alongside current English and maths study.

Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at grades 3/D or above including English at grade 4/C or above and maths and science at grades 3/D or above. Alternatvely you will be accepted with a Level 1 Basic Construction Skills and the English and maths you are currently studying.

How you will learn

The Pearson Edexcel BTEC First Extended Certificate is assessed through a combination of assignments, projects, and internal assessments set and marked by the college. There are no formal written exams for most units. Your work is built up over the course and assessed against set criteria throughout the 36 weeks.
