About this course

Free Level 2 Coding Course. Study online. This is a fully self-paced course, so you can work through it on your own schedule with assessor support available when you need it. You'll need a laptop and must be aged 19 or over at the start of the academic year. Over 24 weeks, you'll explore how coding works and how software is built, from the logic behind programming languages to writing and testing your own code.

Who this course is for

Study this course FREE, with no course fees! This is a fully online, self-directed, independent study course with assessor support and guidance. Students must have use of a laptop to complete this course and must be aged 19+ at the beginning of the academic year (31 August). This 24-week course has a flexible start date and will run until 31 July 2024. Want to learn what makes it possible for you to create computer software? Coding is a language that tells computers what action to perform and this course is designed for anyone who is looking to gain an introduction to coding and how coding is used in practice for software development. Eligibility Criteria – this course is FREE if you: are aged 19+, live in England, not within a non-funded postcode region, have been in the EU for three years for purposes other than study (and able to provide documentation), are not currently enrolled on an apprenticeship, have not completed any part of the course before, . Please note: If aged 19-23 you must have a Level 2 qualification. If you are not eligible the fee is £579.
