The course is delivered via Teams, so you will need access to a device, private space to learn, and good internet connection for these sessions.

This course requires a good level of written English, so we ask for applicants to hold either a GCSE in English at grade C / 4, or an equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2). You'll develop knowledge of common mental health concerns specific to children and young people.
How you will learn
You'll attend classroom-based sessions at Yeovil College. The course covers five units, each building your understanding of children and young people's mental health. Assessment is through written assignments and coursework completed during the course. Your tutor will guide you through each unit and support you with your written work throughout.
