About this course

Free Level 2 Childcare Course in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Classes run at Sutton Community Academy. You'll study full-time during the day over 11 months, covering how to keep children and young people safe, understand child protection procedures, and recognise abusive and exploitative behaviour. The course looks at the risks some children face and the strategies used to protect them. You must be 19 or over at the start of the academic year and have lived in the EU for at least three years to enrol.

Who this course is for

All children and young people deserve to be safe and well cared for within a safe and protective family. However, unfortunately this is not always the case.

With over 50,000 children identified as needing protection from abuse in the UK, it is important that those working in the care sector understand the risks of abusive and exploitative behaviour that some children experience.

Knowing what strategies are used to protect them from this behaviour, whilst following procedures, is essential to helping those effected.

This course is FREE for eligible learners. Please enquire further with us regarding the eligibility requirements.
