All children and young people deserve to be safe and well cared for within a safe and protective family. However, unfortunately this is not always the case.
With over 50,000 children identified as needing protection from abuse in the UK, it is important that those working in the care sector understand the risks of abusive and exploitative behaviour that some children experience.
Knowing what strategies are used to protect them from this behaviour, whilst following procedures, is essential to helping those effected.
This course is FREE for eligible learners. Please enquire further with us regarding the eligibility requirements.

What you could study next
A free childcare course at Level 2 is a solid starting point. From here, you could progress to a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, which is the qualification recognised in statutory staffing ratios for nursery work. You might also consider a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if you want to work in residential settings, or a Level 3 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People to deepen your knowledge in that area.
