Free Level 2 Bricklaying Course in Ipswich. Classes run at Suffolk New College Suffolk Rural. You'll need three GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including maths and/or English, or a Level 1 qualification with maths and/or English at Level 1. This full-time, daytime bricklaying qualification takes one year and covers practical bricklaying skills in college workshops, with visits to construction sites and work on community projects. You'll also take part in competitions such as SkillBuild and WorldSkills, and develop employability skills alongside the trade.
Who this course is for
On this study programme, you will have the opportunity to improve and develop your skills in our workshops. There is the chance to show off your skills and participate in competitions, such as Skill Build, World Skills and other national and local competitions. You will also visit a variety of exhibitions and construction sites, as well as working on community projects outside the college. The study programme will also develop your personal, social and employability skills. You will learn about the trade and find out how you can get a job with the support from the team and local and national employers.
Entry requirements
