Free Level 2 Bricklaying Course in Boston. Classes run at Boston College. You'll need GCSE English and Maths at grade 2 or above, or equivalent, or a relevant Level 1 vocational qualification to get started. The course is around 60% practical and 40% theory, covering how to build cavity walls, solid walls, piers, and basic arches, alongside construction health and safety and how to read working drawings. You'll train in a dedicated construction workshop and attend up to four days a week. The course takes approximately 9 months.

The Level 2 Bricklaying Technical Certificate aims to prepare you for employment and further training in the bricklaying industry. You will carry out your practical training in our dedicated training environment, learning skills such as how to build a range of masonry structures and gain knowledge on how the construction industry operates, how to interpret working drawings and how buildings are constructed. The practical training is designed to mirror the skills that the industry requires, allowing you to develop an industry ready skill set. You will visit real working sites where possible, and may even have opportunities to practice your new skills on real buildings.
