This course is designed for learners who have completed the Level 1 course and has been specifically designed to enhance your Carpentry and Joinery skills while also focusing on improving your employability. You will gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in setting out, marking out, and manufacturing joinery products using both fixed and portable machinery. Additionally, the course provides insight into the different roles within the Construction industry and familiarises you with various site processes.

Entry requirements

4 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 3, or a Level 1 BTEC which must include a Grade 3 in English Language or Literature and Maths along with the successful completion of a Level 1 in Carpentry and Joinery

You'll build a portfolio of evidence showing the work you've completed throughout the year. Assessment is set by City and Guilds.
