This level 2 beauty therapy qualification is awarded by City and Guilds.

Who this course is for

Over the year, we will train you to the highest standards so you are able to work with people to make them feel good, pampered and relaxed. You will be trained both in the classroom and the College’s training salon, where you will develop your understanding of the wide range of practices and procedures needed to work in the exciting beauty therapy industry such as providing facial skincare, waxing, manicure, pedicure, artificial nails, eye treatments, client care and health and safety. You will be working with others and giving and receiving treatments. This course is for you if you have an interest in beauty therapy and want to start your journey in the exciting beauty industry. You should be positive and motivated, and able to provide models for your beauty therapy treatments and services.

Entry requirements

You must have at least four 9-4 grades or equivalent, including English, Maths and preferably a Science.

What you will learn

  • You'll perform facial skincare treatments, including skin analysis and product application.
  • You'll carry out waxing treatments safely and professionally.
  • You'll complete manicures and pedicures to a salon standard.
  • You'll apply artificial nails using industry techniques.
  • You'll deliver eye treatments, including tinting and shaping.
  • You'll manage client consultations and care throughout each treatment.
