Level 2 Beauty Course in Lewes. Classes run at East Sussex College Group Lewes Campus, part-time during the day. You'll need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 to 9, including English or maths at grade 3, or successful completion of a Level 1 beauty course. Over one year, you'll build practical skills in manicure, pedicure, waxing, facials, and eyelash and brow services, alongside health and safety and client care. These level 2 beauty classes cover the core treatments offered in salons.
Who this course is for
During the course you will learn a range of treatments including manicure, pedicure, waxing, facials, eyelash and brow services. You will also complete units in health and safety and client care and communication. The course will provide you with a full range of practical skills and knowledge which will equip you to seek employment within a salon or progress onto further training at level 3. Our salons are well equipped, bright and spacious and our teaching team have a wealth of industry knowledge, experience and expertise working in spas, salons and cruise ships. Two of our previous learners have competed in World Skills and been crowned the 'Best Beauty Therapist in the World' in 2017 and 2019.
Entry requirements
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.
What you will learn

You'll carry out facial and skin care treatments.
You'll apply eyelash and eyebrow tinting and shape eyebrows.
You'll carry out waxing treatments safely and effectively.
You'll follow health and safety procedures relevant to a salon environment.
You'll communicate with clients and manage their care throughout treatments.
How you will learn
You'll be assessed through practical assessments and observed performance in the salon. You'll also build a portfolio of evidence and complete assignments or exam papers. Classes are classroom and salon based, giving you hands-on practice with real treatments throughout the year.
