Who this course is for

The Art and Design UAL Diploma Level 2 is a one year course that is practical, work-related, and equivalent to 4 GCSEs. During this course you will study projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations.

The course focuses on developing problem-solving abilities and practical skills across 2D, 3D, and lens-based digital disciplines. You will explore drawing, painting, printmaking, architecture, model making, product design, graphics, photography, and animation. Alongside this you will study art history, materials, techniques, and critical thinking skills for design.

At the same time, you will study Functional Skills or GCSEs, in Maths and English. This will ensure you a well-rounded foundation in your education to support your progression.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English. Evidence of creative work.
