Free Level 1 Tiling Course in Manchester. Classes run at The Growth Company Education and Skills, full-time during the day.

The course runs for 34 weeks. You'll learn surface preparation, tile cutting, and how to apply tiles accurately. Training takes place in an industry-standard skills centre, so you get hands-on practice from the start. To apply, you'll need GCSE grade 2 or above in maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 1 in both subjects.

You'll finish with a NOCN Level 1 Diploma in Tiling.

Entry requirements

To apply for this qualification, you must have achieved:

GCSE grade 2 or above in maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 1 in maths and English

  • You'll prepare surfaces correctly before tiling begins.
  • You'll cut tiles to size using industry tools.
  • You'll apply tiles with accuracy to walls and floors.
  • You'll use adhesives and grouts correctly.
