About this course

Free Level 1 Spanish Course in Luton. Classes run at Luton Sixth Form College, full-time during the day, one year.

The course is for complete beginners. No prior knowledge of Spanish is needed. You'll learn to introduce yourself, ask for directions, shop, and express opinions. Sessions combine computer-based language practice at your own pace with small-group work led by a specialist teacher. You'll practise speaking with others, listen to recordings, and read Spanish texts.

You'll finish with a Level 1 Award in Practical Spanish.

Entry requirements

This course can be taken in addition to your main courses and is for those who have no (or very little) prior knowledge of the language. There are no specific entry requirements other than an interest in learning a new language

Classes include pair and group speaking practice, listening to recordings, watching videos, and reading texts. There is some choice of examination, so you can be entered for the exams that suit you best.

The centre will provide most materials. Luton Sixth Form College will confirm anything else you need before you start.
