Free Level 1 Skills for Working in Construction and Building Industries Course in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Classes run at Inspire Learning, full-time during the day. This skills for working in construction and building industries qualification follows a Carpentry and Joinery pathway. You'll also study maths and English alongside practical construction skills. The course includes work experience and job-seeking activities to help you move into an apprenticeship, traineeship, or paid work. It runs for one year. Entry is open to those working at Level 1 or below.
Who this course is for
This is a Level 1 qualification in Construction with a pathway in Carpentry and Joinery for 16-19 year olds (or up to 24 with learning difficulty) which is delivered at Eastbourne Centre, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Our students will also study maths and English. The study programme provides activities to improve young peoples' job seeking skills, and provides work experience that prepares learners to move on to a traineeship, paid work or apprenticeship. The student will also be able to apply for a bursary and to claim student travel.
