Free Level 1 Safeguarding Course in Barnsley. Classes run at Wellington House, part-time during the day. The course runs over 36 weeks, so you can fit learning around other commitments. You'll explore what safeguarding means in work, education, and everyday life. Topics cover how to recognise signs of harm, who to report concerns to, and your responsibilities in different settings. These safeguarding classes are open to anyone. You'll have an information, advice and guidance session first to make sure the course is the right fit for you.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Wellington House. Learning is delivered part-time during the day. Assessment is through written tasks and activities that check your understanding of safeguarding principles. There are no exams. Your tutor will support you throughout, and the course is designed to be accessible whether you are returning to learning or studying for the first time.

The centre will provide most materials. Wellington House will confirm anything else you need before you start.
