This is a free programming course for adults who are comfortable using a computer for everyday tasks like email and web browsing. It covers how computers work and how programmers build apps and websites, using tools including Scratch and Google applications. The course takes around 48 hours to complete. It is not suitable for complete beginners, so you should be confident with general computer use before you start.

Entry requirements
This is a level one course and is not suitable for beginners. You should be comfortable using a desktop computer or laptop for general tasks such as email and word processing. You must have experience of using a web browser to access multiple websites as the course software is all accessed through a website. Previous experience with Google products such as Docs and Draw will be helpful, but you will be shown how to use these during the course if you have not used them before
