You'll finish with an Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment at Level 1.
Build the skills and confidence to take your next step into the construction industry.
As part of the SWAP programme for unemployed adults, you will gain a foundation in construction health and safety and workplace readiness through two Level 1 qualifications: the OCNLR Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment and the NCFE Award in Employability Skills.
You will learn how to identify workplace hazards, reduce risks and follow emergency and accident procedures.
You will also develop practical job-search skills, including writing a CV that showcases your strengths, preparing for interviews, communicating effectively and working as part of a team.
With this knowledge and experience, you will be better prepared to pursue entry-level construction jobs, progress to a trade apprenticeship or undertake further construction training.
The health and safety qualification can also support your preparation for the CSCS Green Labourer Card, subject to current card scheme requirements.
First cohort runs from the 28th October. New dates will be added on an ongoing basis.
