Free Level 1 Engineering Technologies Course in Widnes. Classes run at Riverside College Kingsway Campus, full-time during the day. The course runs over one year and is mostly practical. You'll develop hands-on skills in bench fitting, maintenance, machining and automotive engineering. You'll also build a portfolio of evidence and study the maths and science used in engineering, alongside health and safety and housekeeping. This free engineering technologies course is open to learners with GCSEs at grades 9 to 2, including English Language and Maths.
Who this course is for
Aimed at School Leavers. These level 1 engineering courses will develop practical engineering skills including bench fitting, maintenance, machining and automotive. The course is delivered over one year and is predominately practically based. It also includes the development of a portfolio of evidence and the development of basic maths and science used in engineering. You will also study topics such as Health and Safety and Housekeeping.The programme will allow learners to develop work related skills in preparation for further training or employment.
Entry requirements
