Who this course is for
Our Engage is perfect for you if you're not sure where to start or have had a false start on another course in College. It is for students who have no GCSE results, or do not have 4 E Grades, or who have not attended some of their school education and need to achieve Level 1 qualifications in order to progress onto their chosen vocational area or into employment or apprenticeships.

Entry requirements
To start a Foundation Programme you do not need any qualifications. Just the motivation to attend and take part! Candidates will mainly have F/G grades [1-2]
What you will learn
You'll develop communication skills used in everyday work situations.
You'll practise teamwork and working with others toward a shared goal.
You'll learn how to present yourself to employers, including CV writing and interview preparation.
You'll build skills in planning and organising your own time and tasks.
You'll explore different types of jobs and what employers expect from workers.
You'll develop basic digital and workplace literacy skills.
You'll learn how to set personal goals and take steps toward them.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom sessions at Northampton College at Daventry, with group activities, discussions, and practical tasks. Assessment is based on coursework and portfolio evidence you build up throughout the course. There are no formal written exams. Your tutor will support you throughout and track your progress as you go.
